They've been best friends for a while, but that doesn't mean that they can really talk to each other in a frank and expansive way about their grievances without going on a living room tour together throughout large swaths of the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic. Walker, from Wussy, is one of the most decorated songwriters of her era. Nelson, from the Paranoid Style, is also one of the most decorated songwriters of her era. Shades of the unstoppable momentum against the impenetrable force. Have you paid money for anything better recently?

Do you remember when different members of CSNY would break off into different pairings for an album or tour—here's the Neil and Stephen LP, now Nash has made up with Croz and they're playing dates, Stills and Nash are not on cordial or even speaking terms, but will record together anyway.  And every other possible rearrangement? It's so stressful. This tour is nothing like that. Lisa Walker and Elizabeth Nelson have been on great terms for years. They will tell stories, duet on one another's classics, and probably throw in a rarity or two for the truly feral. They've been practicing. The only stated accompaniment—not including to-be-announced regional stars—is the "man in the shadows."
