About The Artists

Advance Base is the melancholic soft rock recording project of Chicago, IL singer/songwriter Owen Ashworth. Using a two-handed arsenal of electric piano, Omnichord, samplers, effect pedals & drum machines, Ashworth builds minimalist, heavy-hearted, & nostalgia-obsessed ballads around his conversational baritone. The warm, electronic sound of Advance Base has been described as "lo-fi," "depressed" & "weirdly uplifting."

bobbie makes ambient dream-pop using omnichord, guitar, and vocals in Western Massachusetts. bobbie’s sound can be described as existing somewhere between meditative/atmospheric (think Enya, Eno, Cocteau Twins) and a more structured, pop-y poetic style. Influences range widely— Laraaji, Beach House, Arthur Russell, Alice Coltrane, Bill Callahan, Beverly-Glenn Copeland, Björk, and Astrud Gilberto to name a few. In 2023, they released their first full-length album, Rhododendron, on Flower Sounds, a label based in Greenfield, MA. Before that they self-released several home-recorded projects. bobbie is also a baker.
